MRS. E. S. FITZJOHN.—The funeral took place at All Saints' Church. Writtle, on Saturday of Mrs. Ethel Sarah Fitzjohn, of Hunts Close, whose death occurred at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mills, on Jan. 18. Mrs. Fitzjohn, who was aged 63, came to live in Writtle during the war where she had many friends. The service was conducted by the Vicar, the Rev. J. O. Nicholas. Mr. John Hales was at the organ for Mrs. Fitziohn's favourite hymn. "There is a Green hill far away." Interment followed in the churchyard. Mourners were: Mr. E. Fitzjohn. Mr. A. Fitzjohn, Mr. B. Squirrell, brothers-in-law. Mr. S. Booty. Mr. L. Squirrell. nephews: Mrs. Cornell. Mrs. Bruns. Mrs. R. Little (Stock). Mrs. W. Fitzjohn (Stock), Miss V. Moss, neices; Mrs. S. Booty, Mr. and Mrs. Taylor. Mr. and Mrs. Rose, friends. Others present included Mr. B. H. Harvey. Mrs. Gendall, and Miss Campbell (representing staff of Essex Institute of Agriculture) Mrs. A. M. Allan, Mrs. P. Knight. Mrs. A. Viall, Miss Avery. Mr. G. Fitzjohn. son is living in Canada. The many beautiful wreaths included one from "Friends and Neighbours in Hunts Close and Hunts Drive" and one from Mrs. Gendall and her staff at the Essex Institute of Agriculture.
