Home to Syd and
May Foulston from c. 1974 when they moved from
29 Malvern Ave. Syd retired early at approx 60
but only enjoyed a short retirement until 1977. May continued to live here until she died
in 1988. The house was left to Pat Gardner who sold it and purchased the 'holiday' bungalow
at Earl Sterndale. The photo taken 1988 shows the house in the centre of the picture viewed from across the playing fields, the site of many a ball game and kite flying sessions. |

| A view of the garden through the kitchen window. 1988. May worked hard to keep up the garden long after Syd died in 1977. |
|
| View of the house taken in 2005, long after it had ceased to be in the family, however the outside had changed very little at that time. |

Home to
Jim and Kath Foulston from c.1966, Jim having taken
early retirement moved to Holland-on-Sea from
Winchester Road, Highams Park. After Kath died in 1991, Jim continued to live in this house until poor eyesight and infirmity forced him to move into a residential home in Staffordshire in 1997 under the watchful eye of his niece Pat Gardner. When Jim died in 2001 he left his bungalow to Pat and Brian in his will. The property was then sold. |
