(a) 5 Teanhurst Close

The Gardners, Brian, Pat and son Adam moved from 24 Carterhatch Road Enfield in 1987 when Brian took a new job with Staffs County Council then located in Hanley. Adam had to change schools and move from the Latymer School in Edmonton to the VIth Form College in Fenton. After the successfull interview, Brian and Pat went house hunting in Staffs, finally choosing to buy 5 Teanhurst Close (£60,000) from Brian's new boss.

5 Teanhurst Close
Originally the whole of Teanhurst Close was the garden and orchard belonging to the Doctor's house (demolished in the 1970's) which was called 'Teanhurst'. 5 Teanhurst Close occupies an area once covered by part of this house. The photo is a copy of a rather poor early picture of 'Teanhurst'. Teanhurst
