| In the 1970's, we visited All Saints Church, in the village of Stock in Essex. There we found the grave of Emma Fitzjohn. The grave was marked "A dear Mother died 24 May 1915 aged 61" At that time, the grave was still attended. In July 1979, we receive a phone call from Aunt Joan (Joan Mills nee Fitzjohn) who told us she had visited the church and found the grave of Benjamin Fitzjohn - died 1912. This grave was also attended probably by the same person as Emma's. The picture is a scan of a postcard pencil drawing which we bought from the church. |
